Garden Spider (Araneus diadematus)- Portland, Oregon

The Garden Spider is the most commonly seen spider in Oregon yards.  They are orange with various black and white markings.  At maturity, females measure about a centimeter (body).  With legs outstretched they measure about 2 cm.  Each night they eat their old web, and build a new one.  The web below is so visible because I misted the web before taking the picture.
