Deroplatys lobata

Deroplatys lobata is very similar to Deroplatys dessicata, but smaller and even more cryptic.  I like the more graceful lines of their shield and more convincing vein-like patterning of their dead-leaf mimicking wings.  Both D. dessicata and D. lobata exhibit impressive startle displays, when threatened.  Wing-spots and patterns are alarming when unexpected!  Both species, if obtained, are easy to rear in captivity!
