Eurycnema
goliath (PSG 14)
This Australian species is
probably one of my most anticipated species ever. They are huge, both long
and robust! They are mostly green, but have white stripes and red-lined wings. The
capitulum of each ovum has a small hole in it (they were nearly ready to hatch
when I got them though). The 1st-instar looks similar to E. tiaratum, but
the nymph is just slightly longer and slightly thinner. And the greatest
distinction is the forked-tail.
Foodplants:
acacia,
bayberry, eucalyptus, guava, mango, oak
