Bugs In Cyberspace FAQs- Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I order?
--We highly recommend you do not purchase any items through the browse pages. These pages have the words "browse" in the address bar of your browser and list only the product's name and often a photo and price. The recommended thing to do is to follow the instructions at the top of the browse pages which states- "Click On Product Name to view the full details, and to order the product." By clicking on the Product Name you will arrive at the detail page for the product. There you will see information and (often VERY) relevant ordering details specific to the product.
 
Q. How do I pay?
--There are a few ways to order.

1. Checkout with your credit card through the shopping cart on the website.

2. Checkout and pay through your PayPal account. Occasionally, people miss the link at the end of the cart ordering process. We can send a PayPal payment request, if necessary.
3. Check or Money Order. We only make our address available by request. All customers paying via Check or Money Order are required to pre-confirm and reserve their order for live bugs, due to limited availabilities on many items. Payments for these items must arrive within a timely manner (about a week) for us to honor your reservation.
4. Purchase Order and discounts are available to schools and most institutions that prefer to pay this way. Please contact us to arrange details and visit our Educator's Page for additional details.
 
Q. Is everything on the website up to date/currently available?
--Generally, yes, everything listed on the website is currently available. Please feel free to email us for up to the minute details. While we do an excellent job of keeping everything current, a few factors occasionally affect our "listed" availabilities vs. our "actual" availabilities. These include the following:

1. The unique logistics of our supply base (working with other hobbyists to offer a huge diversity of bugs).

2. Our doors are open 24/7/365. Sometimes we wake up to an order that clears out our inventory for a particular item.
3. Live bugs die. Sometimes a combination of low supply and unexpected deaths affect availability.
4. Some of our unique items only sell once or twice each year. For this reason, we don't update their availability quite as often.
 
Q. Where is my order?
--Orders of live bugs shipped by Express Mail ( shipping cost was $21+) generally arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. Please request a tracking number if you did not receive one. Signature required!
--Orders of some live bugs are shipped by Priority Mail (shipping cost was $8-$20). During the colder months of the year you will need to sign for your package.
--Book orders ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
--All orders are typically shipped on Mondays or Tuesdays to avoid weekend-related postal delays.
--Non-living items ship by Priority Mail and usually arrive on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays.
 
Q. Are products listed at $0 actually FREE?
--Nope! At the top of the "browse" pages there is a note to click on the product's name to view info/ordering details. The $0 field indicates that you will not be charged for that particular item through our website (nor will you able to order it directly from us). After clicking through to the detail page, you will see information about placing orders for those products through our partner links with other websites. Though we do not ship these products ourselves, we get lots of requests for these items and have partnered with others to make them available to you (and so you don't have to ask).
 
Q. I didn't receive a personal response confirming my order.
--Our website sends an automated confirmation to you, after you place your order. We also "usually" send a personal letter of thanks with any relevant details regarding your order.
--If you are use Yahoo.com for your email (or other providers), you find that emails from Bugsincyberspace.com are being filtered into your "spam" or "junk" folders. Please check there for important updates regarding your order.
