This mantid
looks like a cross between a mantis and a stick-insect; very long and thin for a
mantid! They are green, pink, and winged at maturity, and males are not
know to exist. Thus reproduction consists of parthenogenesis. Nymphs
hatch from the oothecae over a period of time, rather than the all-at-once,
burst-hatching which is typical of most mantid species.
