Oreophoetes peruana (PSG 84)

    This beautiful species hails from the rain forests of Peru and Ecuador.  At maturity the males are reddish-pink, and the nymphs and females are black with yellow stripes.  They are especially neat because they prefer to eat ferns.  All phases of life require high humidity.
