Otomantis sp.

Neat little boxer mantids from Tanzania!  There was an article on them in a 2003 issue of Invertebrates Magazine.  Gotta love those pointy little eyes!  At maturity, they will be brown with green wings, and not much bigger than an inch.  Like other boxer mantids they extend their forearms in fascinating, alternating fashion, when disturbed. Their heads remind me of the Silons (Cylons?) leader from Battlestar Galactica!
