Aretaon asperrimus (PSG 118) This species is VERY thorny...one of my favorites. They eat a wide variety of leaves. The ova are actually quite large, although the insects only reach about 8 cm (3.15 in.) There are some interesting variations in the colors of the nymphs. The nymph pictured below is almost perfectly camouflaged on moss. Foodplants: bramble, ivy, oak, raspberry, rose
