Phyllium
pulchrifolium
This
Indonesian species is similar is most similar in appearance to Phyllium
bioculatum. The
ova also look very similar to those of P. bioculatum, but are darker,
and with the
hatchlings noticeably larger. The male photographed below represents the
only pictures I have ever seen of a pulchrifolium male as of Sept.
2002. He was much greener shortly after he matured, but towards the end of
his life, he became much more yellow. He mated with the female about 8
hrs. after being introduced to her cage.
